What To Expect

At Harvest Community Church

What to Expect Your First Time Worshiping at Harvest

It’s natural to be a little apprehensive from all the unknowns when you first visit a new church, but here are a few quick answers to the questions we hear most frequently.

  • Dress is fairly casual. Our congregation comes from all walks of life, and dress on a typical Sunday reflects that. We want to honor God as we gather in his presence, but people wear a wide range of clothes as they do that.
  • People at Harvest are very friendly, so don’t be surprised when someone says hello and asks to know your name.
  • Worship begins promptly at 10:30am. A musical prelude is your cue that worship is about to begin.
  • We celebrate communion every week, and communion is open to all those who know and love the Lord Jesus Christ, have been baptized, and are members in good standing with an evangelical church. (To learn more about why we celebrate communion every week, read this article.)
  • We have a nursery for children ages 3 and under. Parents are welcome to bring their children to the nursery before or during Sunday School and the worship service. Visitors are also welcome to have their children remain with them for the entire church service.
