Dale Ralph Davis writes this about the Kingdom of God:
Sometimes we need to see that Yahweh is not so much partisan as sovereign, that it is more important to recognise God’s position than to know God’s plans. (Joshua: No Falling Words, p. 53)
Does God exist to fight your battles, or do we need to think of him from an entirely different perspective as the king? The deeper we study what God reveals about himself in his word, the more we begin to recognize that God builds his kingdom in God’s timing by reclaiming God’s creation for God’s purposes.
