What enables Christians to walk through trials and discouragement? Our guest preacher, Dr. Allen P. Ross (Beeson Professor of Old Testament and Hebrew at Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama) preaches from Revelation 1 in answer to that question.

God gives us revelations of himself, and of his authority and power, in order enable us to face whatever we may encounter in this life. Our task as believers is to never lose sight of these revelations of the Lord, because we can forget who he is. Many Christians, when we watch the news, or encounter difficulties, can lose sight of the hope that is set before us. Revelation is our guide, a gift from God that reveals to us the end of the story: the future informs how we live today.
