The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA)

The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) is the largest evangelical Presbyterian denomination in the United States. The PCA was formed in 1973, and as of 2020, the PCA had 1,580 churches in all 50 states, Canada, and in a handful of other nations around the world. The PCA is committed to upholding the full inspiration inerrancy, infallibility, and authority of the Word of God. The PCA also subscribes to Reformed Theology as it is articulated in the Westminster Standards, maintains the historic polity of Presbyterian church government, and is passionate about planting churches.

Permanent Committees & Agencies of the PCA

In addition to the local church, the PCA also advances and supports its mission through five permanent committees with offices in Atlanta, GA, and through five agencies.

Permanent Committees

Mission to the Word (MTW) serves as the PCA’s international missions arm. Through MTW, the PCA ministers in a number of countries around the world.

Mission to North America (MNA) serves as the PCA’s domestic church planting and mercy ministry arm.

Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) is the PCA’s college ministry that serves college students on college campuses throughout the country.

The Administrative Committee (AC) provides administrative support to local PCA churches and to the denomination as a whole.

The Committee on Discipleship Ministries (CDM) helps equip PCA churches with discipleship material for children, youth, and adults.

 

Agencies

Covenant Seminary is the PCA’s official seminary in St. Louis, MO, which offers several accredited graduate decrees in theology and counseling.

Covenant College is the PCA’s four-year educational institution in Lookout Mountain, GA, which provides a number of accredited bachelor and master degrees.

Ridge Haven is the PCA’s official retreat center in Brevard, NC for spiritual and physical refreshment for ministers and churches.

PCA RBI is a ministry based in Atlanta, GA that offers life, disability, retirement plan benefits, and a relief fund for PCA ministers, missionaries, and lay employees.

The PCA’s Foundation is a ministry based in Atlanta, GA that provides charitable financial services to individuals, families, and churches, including donor-advised funds.
